We are singularly focused on crafting Cabernet Sauvignon from the Howell Mountain appellation of Napa Valley.
Through our experience, we have learned that the best wines come from great vineyard sites and are created through minimal intervention and maximum attention. We craft our wines on a human scale, in very small lots and steward what nature provides so that the resulting wine is a true reflection of time and place. We feel this is the best way to truly represent each vintage.
Thank you for discovering us and supporting artisan winemakers like ourself.
Ranging between 1700 & 1800 feet in elevation, the 32 acre Beatty Ranch sits above the fog and is at the heart of the Howell Mountain appellation. So much so that the Howell Mountain AVA came to be with the help of Randy Dunn (Dunn Vineyards), Bill Smith (La Jota Vineyards) and topographic maps of the area spread on Mr. Beatty's dining table. The vineyard has a long history dating back to the 1880's when William Keyes first began to establish vineyards on Howell Mountain. Our block was planted on shallow, volcanic Aiken soils over 40 years ago making these some of the oldest cabernet sauvignon vines on Howell Mountain.
